Hi. I wanted to take this opportunity to share this with you. I went to this expo last year and absolutely loved it. I came home with free books and new-found knowledge. I absolutely enjoyed all the booths and even featured one of the speakers on my blog and in an article. I was asked to be part of their expo this year to speak about my book(ANYONE CAN! Live A Happier Life) but I had to graciously turn it down because of another very important event that weekend. I am honored I was invited and sad I couldn?t make it.
I highly suggest you hop in the car and take a ride to this wonderful event. It?s worth it. There is wheelchair access for those in need and it?s great for guys to attend also.

The American Psychological Association?s recently released Stress in America survey indicates that virtually all Americans ? all ages races and genders ? experience a high level of stress in their lives. Yet only 17% say they discuss stress management with their healthcare providers.
This year?s Women?s Health and Fitness Expo is tackling stress head-on. Speakers, workshops and booths are all focused on this year?s Expo theme: Managing Stress for a Better Life.
?Most of us tend to fragment our health into little compartments ? what we eat, how or if we exercise, medical check-ups, meditation, taking vitamins or supplements or medications,? says the Expo?s founder and director, Debra Karnasiewicz, (kar-ne-SHEV-itz) MD, MPH. ?But the various disciplines are not at odds with each other. Everything our main stage speakers have to share will support and complement the needs of mind, body and spirit.?
The Expo attracts thousands of visitors each year ? and has grown to become an event for the whole family. Besides a high-powered group of main stage speakers, there will be over 20 health screenings available as well as workshops, fitness and cooking demos, spa services, the kid zone, a healthy food court and more than 125 exhibitors with information related to health and well-being.
This year, the Expo is proud to present the following Main Stage Speakers:
Jennifer Ashton MD, ABC News National, Senior Medical Correspondent and practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology, best-selling author, Your Body Beautiful: Clock Stopping Secrets to Stay Healthy, Strong, & Sexy in your 30?s, 40?s and Beyond.

In addition, the Expo will present its first-ever scholarship to an Ulster County female athlete in need. This year?s deserving athlete will be given $500 to be put towards her training at Excel Gymnastics in Saugerties. This will be an ongoing scholarship that supports both the individual athlete and the community as a whole.
